Good to be alive

I have read a few journal recently that say life sucks for whatever reason of the day. Since May was such a great month with birth of our granddaughter. June was uneventfully pleasant. July has been a hard start but I am thankful for all that God has granted us.

My older brother has lost his mother-in-law, our cousin, and a close personal friend in the last four weeks. On July 9, my sister had a massive stroke that has left her paralized on right side. Later that afternoon, I went in for emergency gall bladder removal. I still feel life is good. God has granted my sister her life and though she will need extensive therapy, she is still alive. I am recovering fine.

God does not promise us a life free from pain or suffering, he promises an after life that will be all that. So when you are feeling down the next time, remember life is what makes us who we are by our experiences. You can roll with the punches or lie down and cry but in either case, it is what you chose to do with time granted to you that makes your life experience worth living.
